Hello everyone!

I'm new to this forum and new to the whole cyclocross community. Here's the story.

I want to buy my first cx bike but I'm hesitating which one I should choose. I have narrowed my choices to Felt F65X 2014 and Boardman CX Pro. After shipping cost and all duties the prices are: 1900$ for Felt and 2100$ for Boardman. I want to buy an all-rounder for both cyclocross and leisure rides.

For winter season, I intend to use the bike with cycletrainer - Tacx Satori. Do anyone happen to know if these bikes are compatible with the cycletrainer? I've heard that carbon bikes may be damaged by cycletrainers [e.g. Cube's FAQ section] and, as far as I know, Boardman's fork is fully carbon while Felt's is partially carbon. However, the frame is aluminium in both cases.

I would be tremendously grateful if you could tell me which bike's better for me [please, list the reasons why it's better]. Recommending the right size for me will be much appreciated. My measurements are as follows: height – 165,5 cm, leg length (inseam) – 75,5 cm [for clarification: I'm an adult so I'm quite short]. I guess 50 cm should be right.

If you find other bikes to be superior to the ones I listed, feel free to insert them in your reply. I'm especially interested in any bargains for both the bikes I listed and any other worthy attention. So, if you know a shop which sells Felt or Boardman for less than I found, let me know.

I give you many thanks in advance for your helping hand.

Regards,

I've got a 55cm 2010 Felt Breed single speed cyclocross bike for sale for $700 shipped and I would prefer to use Paypal unless you want to mail me money. This bike retailed for $949. I bought this from a friend in January who had purchased the bike and then never rode it so he sold it to me. I'm finding I rarely ride it either, so I thought I would test the waters on here. I bought this from a friend in January who had purchased the bike and then never rode it so he sold it to me. I'm finding I rarely ride it either, so I thought I would test the waters on here. It's probably got 200-300 road miles on it and it has never been ridden off the road. Aside from any test rides, the CX tires it comes with have never been ridden. It's pretty close to being just like new, but on the bottom of one of the seat stays there is a small scuff that my friend says was there when he bought it and there is a little mark on the brake that was caused by hooking the cable into it. More info and details can be found at this link:

http://2010.feltracing.com/USA/2010-Product-Catalog/CYCLO-X/CYCLO-X/BREED.aspx

At the link below there is a picture of the bike with the road tires on it. The saddle is slightly darker than normal from a new pair of bib shorts, but I'll be cleaning it off. The cage is not included.

Hi! I'm a noob to cross and could use all the advice I can get! (Also Hello from Boston cause I'm new to the forum too!)

I've been searching the internet for days now and can't seem to dig up any info on these bikes (reviews). Anyone have experience riding these guys? I'm just getting into cross with not a TON of money to drop. I'm thinking of getting a cross bike and selling my commuter. That being…
I've posted this in a couple different forums so please forgive me if you've read this before!

That being said, the ability to put fenders and a rack on it key for me.

I went to my local shop to take a look at the new CX bikes Felt is putting out, particularly the F95X (it'll be easy to set up fenders/rack on these guy).

The duder at the shop was trying to sell me on last years model, the F60X, for the same price as the F95X. There have been some changes made, particularly the F60X is a higher geared bike. Since I'm new to cross I don't know what to make of these changes. The F95X is about 3 pounds lighter.

I was also looking at the breed but then wondering how nuts I'd have to be to race a SS cx bike.

Breed: http://www.feltbicycles.com/USA/2010...O-X/BREED.aspx

Any advice you guys could give would be really helpful. I don't have much of a cross community here yet but am looking to make new friends soon!

Thanks so much!
Chris. FYI - Felt Recalls 1,500 CX Bikestag:cowbell.cxmagazine.com,2009-08-20:1198434:Topic:360422009-08-20T13:43:06.376ZBlondiehttps://cowbell.cxmagazine.com/profile/BrandonParr
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Felt Bicycles, has issued a voluntary recall of about 1,500 Felt F1X cyclocross bicycles from 2007/2008.

The manufacturer is Aprebic/EVO Industry Co. Ltd., of Taiwan.

The bicycle's fork steerer tube can break, causing the rider to lose control and fall, posing a risk of injury.
I'm just putting this out as many places as I can right now. On 5/14/09 I had my 2008 59cm Felt F1X stolen from out in front of the Beach Chalet restaurant (West side of Golden Gate Park on Great Highway). The list of components is: Shimano 105 shifter/brake levers, 105 front derailleur, Ultegra rear 10 spd derailleur, Mavic CX wheels, FSA Gossamer crank (46/36), Selle Italia saddle, and barely a scratch on the frame. I can give more intimate details to prove it's mine. If anyone comes across…
