Hi, I've gotten into cyclocross, and now happily so has my daughter,

but her old boat anchor mtn bike isn't cutting it for this. So, I'm

looking to buy a small cyclocross bike for her.

Convertable road bike would work too. Not looking to break the bank on

it, but a decent steel bike would be great. Maximum standover about 29

inches.

We're in the Chicago area.

If you've got one or any leads, please let me know!!

Thanks and take…

Anybody know if there's a cross scene in Buffalo NY area - and how I could get hooked into it?

I'd like to find somebody to show me the ropes and give ideas on where to train?

I'm a dedicated (slightly deranged) roadie looking to branch out. I bought a single speed cross bike for winter training this year - fell in love with it - now would like to ride in in Paris-to-Ancaster next month.

I need to get my pit bike set up, but I'm missing the chainrings. All the distribs are out, apparently, and eBay had an iffy selection. The rings MUST have shift ramps. I run a double on Shimano cranks, 130bcd spacing. I have a teammate that is in a similar situation and he might also want a 175mm crankset, as well. The FSA Gossamer has lost its appeal. All 8lbs of it.

Anyone have one collecting dust now that the kids are all racing full size frames?

My oldest is out growing her kids bike now and she loves cyclocross... wants to race at her Dad's races.
