First race of the season today, was on hutch. bulldogs all last year as tubeless setup.  They are discontinued so I switched to Mud 2 because of all the good reviews.  Not so good, wet grass course, no confidence at all in them, cornering, was loosing grip on uphills.  Any way, just curious if anyone has run Challenge grifo's tubeless with any luck.

Unless you get the non fold-able versions the Challenge have a very soft porous side wall....they work great with tubes and almost feel tubular ....

Would say stay away if you want tubeless....

I've read Schwalbes work good tubeless.

Which ones

Vittoria makes their Cross XG in a tubeless ready version now. A friend just got a pair and he is pretty happy with them. Same basic tread pattern as a Grifo so a good all around tire.

Do not run tubeless. A lot of work and money that will end in heartache. The Michelin Mud 2s are good but not great. The PDX is far superior to the 2 or even the 1. (yes, I own them both)

The Grifo is not going to help you if the Mud 2 wasn't working for you. It makes me think you're tire pressure was too high. In any case get the PDX.

What pressure were you running? How much do you weigh?
