I'm a mountain biker by heart and passion, but I like to ride cyclocross too. Where I live the ground is almost always wet and slippery, which is why I like the 'traction finding' feel of an oval chainring on my 1x11 MTB. I naturally decided to go the same route with my cross bike. To me it is a no-brainer, but I'm curious what you all think about oval rings especially in a discipline like cyclocross?

Just thinking out loud!

Cheers,

AB

I recently added a Wolf Tooth Components Oval Drop Stop chain ring to my gravel bike and the difference was remarkable. You really have nothing to lose by trying one. I noticed that i was spinning better and it was easier to maintain a good pace. You should give it try at least.
