I think the XM has been discontinued in favor of the XL, but they're such different tires. The XM is better for soft conditions, and has a smaller, lighter knob that makes the tire more supple than the big knob of the XL.
Anyway, stock up if you're on a budget and need some true sew-ups (as opposed to tubeless Tufo / Clement).

Saw this crazy deal for $29.99 tubulars at Comp Cyclist. 320 tpi Vittoria XM 32c and 34c tubulars. At this price, it's not so painful to flat one after a few races.
