Looking for 24" rear wheel or rim

Started Mar 6, 2013 0 Replies

I've finally found a used conquest 24 for my youngest.  She's terribly excited, but the rear wheel is beyond truing/repair and needs a new rim.The redline website indicates the rim is an Alex DA-22…Continue

Yes, I know that my ass is not your ass, so what fits you may not fit me.  I'm not looking for advice on picking some saddle out of the random chaos that is all available saddles.  Here's the…Continue

"My two younger kids are on Redline Conquest sz 44.  Looked at getting the Conquest 24, but for the money, the 44 was a better investment. The older of the two first got on about 3 years ago, when he was 10, and at 13 and two growth spurts later…"

Saddle recommendations sought

Yes, I know that my ass is not your ass, so what fits you may not fit me.  I'm not looking for advice on picking some saddle out of the random chaos that is all available saddles.  Here's the situation:I race a Gin & Trombones, and I really liked the OE Velo saddle for cross and raced that.  At practice the other night it gave up the ghost and the shell snapped just aft of the nose of the saddle.  It's full suspension now!  In my ideal little world I'd replace the saddle with the same…See More

spokegrenade lights?

Anybody have one?  How do you like it?My primary use will be commuting through the dark of winter, both morning and night.  I'm especially interested in feedback on the mounting system for the light and the battery.  Photos of different setups might be good. Also looking for suggestions for alternatives.  Ideal features:- USB charging- quick mount/dismount- adapts easily to 31.8 and 25.4 bar diameter- battery doesn't way as much as bike; battery not in bottle cageSee More

"The 44cm Redline uses 700c wheels. Obviously if that's too big then it won't work, and your tire and wheel selection is better at 26" than 24"."

Chris Cleeland replied to Matt sutter's discussion Crank arm length
"You don't mention frame size or how tall you are, which is crucial. Personally, I would go for the shortest cranks you can reasonably tolerate. They make off-camber much easier. I'd also go for 46/36 rather than 50/34."
