Andrew wanted me to send you this info about Cult Cross....a spring CX race I've promoted for three years, it's back better than ever on March 31st.
Here is the press release...
After a two year hiatus, America's only spring Cyclocross race, Cult Cross, returns to the Eagle County Fairgrounds for the fourth edition of this very fun and grassroots event. Promoter Larry Grossman has brought the Town of Eagle on board as the presenting sponsor and with nearly $2000 in cash up for grabs in prize money the event is sure to bring not only the amateur to expert level bicycle racers to the venue on March 31st, 2013, but also many of the areas top level elite and pro athletes. The event will host many different categories of racing including two new categories, a fat bike category and women's clydesdale unofficial official world champion will be crowned at the event. There will be a race for all juniors under 18 years of age as well as "C" (beginner and first timers), "B" (recreational level) and "A" (elite and pro racers) during the days schedule of events. Races will be between 30-60 minutes in length.
The course will be a unique, fun and challenging track which will require racers to dismount and remount their bicycles while riding on asphalt, grass, dirt, sand and potentially mud and snow should the weather cooperate. The Eagle County Fairgrounds is the perfect venue to host the event with it's rolling and variable terrain right along the scenic Eagle River. Be sure to bring the family and plan on spending the day in Eagle as Cyclocross is one of the most fan friendly disciplines on the bike to observe while cheering for your favorite racers. Laps will be 6-7 minutes long and most of the course is visible from a single view point. Juniors race for free and the rest of the categories will have a $25 entry fee. Racing action will begin at 10am and registration is day of the event only..
An Interbike wedding was the only way to go, with our LBS owners there, a few of my local cycling friends, and my DrunkCyclist.com buddies in attendance. Dirty Biker was our wedding photog. :) Afterwards we watched CX Vegas and handed out DC stickers as hand ups.
