I hope Rob is doing ok. He crashed right in front of me. I am not sure what happened, we were on the last lap and as we came across the cement path and his bike just washed out on him i guess. He must of taken the turn a bit too hard. I asked if he was alright, and he said yeah I think so. I looked back and saw him still staying there and thought to myself that is not good.

that wasn't mud, cam. that was a few sticky spots.

Ouch sounds like it definitely hurts. Hardware in your femur=definitely serious. Does anyone know exactly what happened? Best wishes on recovery too! I know I've been luck with my crashes walking away with road rash.

On a better note, great races this weekend, really liked the courses, nice and spread out with varied terrain and obstacles. Mud definitely made this weekend a true 'cross weekend.

Oh no! Was he the guy that went down on practically the only piece of pavement on the enitre course in the first race of the day? Wears black kit? That's just the worst luck ever. It breaks my heart to hear stuff like this ... I saw him laying there and thought he looked really hurt ... get well brother!

You're AAVC and I'm not sure if I've met you either, Rob, but sorry to hear about the hip and best wishes on a good healthy recovery.

Oh man, that's AWFUL!!! I've never met Rob Shank, but it's horrible to hear something like that. My prayers go out to Rob to get well soon!

Dave V. told me that Rob Shank had to have 3 screws inserted into his femur. Rob is supposed to check out of the hospital today. Hopefully he will come back stronger than ever in the spring!

Chicks dig it when you cough up blood!

Does anyone know how Rob Shank (AAVC) is doing? He went down on lap 2 Sat and evidently broke his hip.

I actually coughed up blood last night... Maybe I unearthed some long dormant form of TB at Maybury the weekend before.

Or, could it be the Vets Park run-ups that caused my lungs to bleed?

maybe that was too much info...

One of the best weekends of cross ever! Hats off to the Tailwind crew for putting on such a great show for two days in a row. The change in course was fabulous, I thought, going from a lot of power on day 1, to speed and climbing on day 2. Great to see everybody - and so many racers! And congrats to Kurt on two great days!
