I have a 56cm Fuji Cross Pro for sale. I believe it's the 2007 model. Aluminum frame with carbon fork. Was ridden for a few years, and shows signs of it, but it's still got plenty of life left. Has full 10 speed Shimano Ultegra. Also has full Ritchey cockpit, San Marco saddle, FSA crank, bulletproof Alex wheels with Hutchinson tires. Awesome mid level cross bike, winter bike, or commuter. Has the really cool bare aluminum/black paint job (very easy to keep up on and always shines nicely).…

Has the really cool bare aluminum/black paint job (very easy to keep up on and always shines nicely). Bike is complete, but cables/housing need to be set up again, it's missing the dust cap for the crank (crank is fine but the cap that goes on the end is just gone, a bike shop will probably have one laying around they'd give away), also does not have any bar tape. These are all really small things and the bike can be up and running in an hour. I am in Banner Elk NC. Will ship for $75 within US. As pictured, the bike weighs less than 16 lbs. This bike rides amazingly but I am focusing on cyclocross and no longer racing road so it is time to pass it on to someone that will use it. The frame size is 57cm. Full size specification can be found at bmc-racing.com. The frame is matte white and black with grey and red accents. It has been ridden less than 500 miles and never crashed. I replaced my 2011 Team Machine with this frameset. This frameset is comfortable over the long haul but is stiff when it counts and really moves when you get out of the saddle climbing. It is truly a top level frame with a practical and durable set of components. The full component breakdown is as follows.

-Sram Force shifters, front derailleur, rear derailleur, and brakes -- I regularly serviced these and they work as new. There are minor scuff and scratches expected from normal use. Sram Force is a great durable gruppo for racing. I have a pair of black lever hoods that I will include.

-Sram Red Black crankset -- The crankset is brand new with the frame and has less than 500 miles on it. It is a standard 130 BCD 53/39 with 175mm crankarms. The BB86 GXP bottom bracket is brand new and was installed with the crankset.

-Sram 1070 rear cassette -- The cassette is an 11x28 so you have plenty of range for the steep climbs in the area. There is plenty of life left on the cassette.

-Shimano Ultegra chain -- This chain was installed new on the frame and has less than 500 miles on it.

-Shimano Dura-Ace shifter cables -- These are the new Dura-Ace coated shifter cables. The coating exponentially increases the crispness of the shifting and increases the overall lifespan of the cables. They were installed new on the frame and have less than 500 miles on them.

-FSA OS-99 stem -- The alloy FSA stem is 130mm long. It is a great stem used at the top tier of the sport.

-FSA Compact Wing Pro bars -- The bars have flat tops and measure 44cm at the bottom of the drop and 42cm at the shift levers.

-Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheelset -- These are durable all around wheels. The rear rim is less than a year old and the front is two years old. The braking surface is in great shape. The freehub has been regularly serviced and maintained. Comes with a new set of Panaracer Race D 25mm tires which are grippy and very durable.

-Fizik Kium Antares saddle -- I have a red saddle and a white saddle with black accents, depending on your preference. Both show minor wear and tear expected from use.

-Lizard Skin bar tape -- If you have ever used this stuff you know how amazing it is.

-K Edge chain watcher -- This is a nice addition to keep your chain from bouncing into the frame if it drops.

The water bottle cages and computer mount are not included. The red Speedplay Zero stainless pedals can be included for an additional $90.

I am looking to get $3,500 cash or $3,600 PayPal. I'd be willing to sell the frameset (frame, seatpost, fork, bottom bracket, and headset) for $2,500. The new frameset retail price is $4,000. The price is quite low considering it is a new frameset, crankset, chain, and cables but I unfortunately need to part with it. Please do not hesitate to email me with questions or for additional pictures.

I can deliver this in the Bay Area or ship for an additional fee.

I have had great experience with mountain bike tires and Stan's and have been using Crest rims on my mountain bike with non tubeless Maxxis tires with no issues.

However, I have had nothing but bad luck so far with trying tubeless for Cyclocross.

At first, I purchased cyclocross rim strips from Stan's to use in the stock OEM wheels on my Cannondale CaadX Rival. Rims are Maddux rims, 32 hole, basic alloy rim. I also bought Hutchinson Bulldog CX tires w/ the carbon beads.

Tires were impossible to mount with stock rim strip plus stan's strip. Both me and the LBS could not install the tires until we removed the stock rim strip and ran the stan's strip by itself. However, I couldn't get the tires to seal.

After much difficulty, I decided to purchase Shimano tubeless ready wheels, the Ultegra 6700 wheelset. The Hutchinsons mounted great without the stan's strips and sealed up. I went on one ride and I was stoked. I ran them 45 psi in the rear and 40 psi in the front. They worked great and survived goatheads, cambers, grassy turns etc. HOWEVER, The next day, the front tire had blown off the rim spewing Stan's sealant everywhere. The bead on the tire was bent and warped and impossible to re-seat on the rim.

Sorry for the long post but my questions are the following:

When using tubeless ready wheels, should I still use Stan's rim strips?
Is Stan's sealant not recommended with Hutchinson CX tires? Is the warping and bending of the bead due to the sealant? (I was pretty agressive with the tire installation when I tried using OEM rims w/ Stan's strip. Is it possible I damaged the beads?)
If I purchased Stan's CX tires like the Raven, can I use them in the Shimano tubeless wheels? With or without Stan's rim strip?

If anyone has had any experience like mine, let me know.

Thanks!
1x10 shimano cockpit for saletag:cowbell.cxmagazine.com,2011-07-19:1198434:Topic:961652011-07-19T15:58:34.040ZRob Karmanhttps://cowbell.cxmagazine.com/profile/RobKarman
