I am just starting racing cross this coming season in colorado. I am having trouble deciding if I should lose the weight and run just one front ring. Please let me know what you all think. Especially any of you Colorado riders. Thanks
Well, my cross season has been cut short (before it starts) because of an impending surgery, so many things are up for sale, including a single chainring kit. :-0
Really though, I never lost the chain in racing all the CO courses, and it makes things simpler, which is good when you are oxygen deprived ....... and you will be.
My unfortunate saleS:
42T Specialties TA chainring (Black), third eye chain watcher, Wetzikon guard, and chainring bolts, all to fit a 130mm width crankset. - 50.00, plus shipping
Also, Shimano R400 brake lever (set of 2) - 30.00, plus shipping
Shimano Dura-Ace 10 speed 12-27 cassette, perfect for CO races with the 42T chainring. Used twice. Looks new. 110.00, plus shipping.
And finally, the granddaddy of all, a set of Paul's Neo Retro brakes with brand new pads, a set of Paul's Touring Cantis, used pads with plenty of life left. Black in color. Straddle hangers and connecting wires included. Sold as a set. 120.00, plus shipping.
All are in excellent condition, minimal wear, clean and ready to race.
