Hey all, I'm a noob to the boards here, but have been riding cross bikes for a couple of years. I have a Rock lobster, aluminum frame, and am looking to upgrade to a carbon fork. Any recomendations? I do a lot of trail riding on my cross bike and some racing, so I need something fairly sturdy.

Find out what the axle to crown length and the fork rake first then match it to a carbon fork otherwise you'll change the handling characteristics.
I've been happy with the Ritchey WCS fork. You can find them for as little as $270, they're light and they work well. I've done a lot of racing and trail riding on mine.
I also use the Ritchey WCS carbon fork. The rake is a little bigger than most forks (48mm), but it gave my CrossCheck a little more precise handling which I like. I'm very happy with it, and it looks oh so sharp.
