I'm a big fan of the latest Yakima Hold-Up. Like the fact that nothing touches the frame, great integrated lock, easy to fold up, (my wife and kids can handle it) extra stabilizer pin at the pivot point for long term durability, easy to add the +2 for hauling 4 bikes and great customer service from Yakima. Works great on all bikes: 29ers, kids bikes, road, BMX etc. I spend half the year in MN and the rack's finish is not damaged by the salt/snow from the MN roads in winter.

Thanks for the feedback Chris. I have a Swagman rack that is very similar to that. I don't like that the hooks snug down on the top tube though. I have to attach the hook on my cross bike to the front water bottle cage b/c i don't want to snug it down on the cables that run on the top of the top tube. For my wife's road bike the cable routing doesn't interfere, but i'd rather not have anything touching the frame.

My vote would be the Hollywood SportRider if you are not too picky about name brand recognition and you only need to carry 2 bikes.
I have one of these and I love the solid hold it has on the bike.

Thule T-2. Carry 4 bikes on that rack all the time behind a Sprinter. Even fits 29ers and kids 20 inch wheel bikes as well.

Partial to the T2 myself, doesn't touch the carbon.
