You can expect awesome performance. The best upgrade possible for your brakes. I've been using Kool-Stops since 1989 and love them. I've tried Shimano, Dia Compe, Tektro, Avid... and have always come back to Kool-Stop.

 

However, I'd recommend that you look for Kool-Stop's new cyclocross specific brake pad. It comes in a triple compound and features a cut-away pad holder. Available in smooth and threaded post.
