December Races leadup to 2016 Nationals

I know a lot of people are looking for late-season races to keep up their training for Nationals. 

There are two full weekends of December racing in the Mid-Atlantic region, all within 4-5 hrs of NYC Pittsburgh, 3-4 hrs from Phily, 2-5 hrs from eastern WV.  

• Sat 5 Dec:  Red Shedman CX Race & Craft Beer Festival, Mt. Airy, MD.

  This is a brand new race location from experienced promoters. A little more expensive than other races in this area, but the beer should be excellent.
  Race weekend!--1 hr from Cap Cross Classic.

• Sun 6 Dec:  Capital Cross Classic (MABRA Super-8 Series Finale),
  Lake Fairfax Park, Reston, VA.

  CLASSIC race with a long history. If it's wet, look for some rare Virginia CX mud.  If dry, its fast but with lots of elevation.  Proceeds benefit MORE's MTB trails at Lake Fairfax. Not to miss.

• Sat 12 Dec: VACX Finals, Richmond, VA.

  A venerable finale for a well-organized series, Virginia Cross.

• Sun 13 Dec:  BikeneticX p/b Lost Rhino Brewing (Sportif Cross Cup Series Finale)
  Occoquan Regional Park, Lorton, VA.

  Ok, full disclosure: I'm the race director, but I still think this is a great course!  Manicured turf, banked terrace turn/whoop-te-whoop, fast dirt road, rideable stairs, sandpit, and the imfamous happy humps (artificial logs), which are rideable with a little skill.  Lots of prizes on the barriers, including two bikes. And *free* Face Plant IPA & Rhino Chaser Pilsner, as a fundraiser for MORE. 
  Race weekend!--1.5 hr from VACX Finals.

Dec 13 is the last USAC CX race in Virginia/DC/Maryland.
