3 Dugast Rhinos 32s - NEVER GLUED - $75 $60 OBO. Purchased late in 2010 and stored on rims, getting them ready to be used in 2011. 2011 dawns, and the tread is all dry rotted. Bummer. Some have theorized that the dry rot would be fine - just shut up and ride. Others have even suggested that the micro serrations would add grip etc.

I didn't really buy it, and so never used these, or even have glued them. Stu Thorne of Cyclocrossworld has said that new tread could be glued to the still perfect casings (aged even!) for $60/tire, plus shipping costs:

"Dugast will apply different treads to a casing but only certain ones will do. Generally a high quality clincher only. We would send the casing back with your donor tire.  They will work the magic @ $60.00 plus the shipping costs." - from an email earlier this year.

So, a more industrious 'crosser than myself could get a sweet set of their dream tires for cheap (green michelin muds on a dugast casing?) and if you do it now, you should have them in plenty of time for the season.

UPDATE - After looking more at cyclocrossworld.com, realized I am probably on the high side for the Dugasts. I was basing my pricing more on what I paid, and hadn't realized they'd dropped in price. Anyhow, dropped my price to $60 for all three Dugasts.

For all the tires, payment is via paypal, shipping is paid by customer. Tires are sold as the lots listed above - I won't sell just one or two, sorry.

Given work and other constraints, I'll answer questions as quickly as possible, but generally that is on a 24h schedule, not within smart-phone toting seconds.

Thanks!

wow, those Rhinos are tempting

Hey Simon, just was looking at the current going rate for Dugasts, and I'm probably priced a bit high to be honest. I had paid something closer to $160/tire, but just saw they've dropped to $120/tire. What about $60 for all three? If you do the tread reglue, you're then paying something more like $240-250 for $360 worth of tires (assuming you have the donor treads) - and you've got the custom FMB-like option.

I'll take the Grifos and Fangos off of your hands. PM Sent.

er, rather friend request sent.
