Not familiar with the Black Mountain Cycles frame?  http://blackmountaincycles.blogspot.com/p/black-mountain-cycles-fra...

How to describe it?  Picture a Crosscheck, but fix everything that's not quite right.  For example, a better tubeset that rides nicer and weighs almost a half pound lighter.  Even more tire clearance.  Slightly sloping top tube with much longer head tube... better standover and less spacers!  Top tube cable routing!

Here's the deal:  the frame is "new"... bought it right when they got their first production run, built it up, rode it MAYBE 300 miles, planning on doing a few gravel grinders and thought the massive tire clearance would be cool.  However, my plans have completely changed and I won't be 'grinding', so the bike has got to go.

The frame is for all intents and purposes new, but all the parts, (minus the chain, cassette, cables, and bar tape, which are new), are somewhere between one to two years old, but have ooodles of life left.  Okay, of course the tires will eventually wear out, but the parts are in top condition and have many years of life left.  Nothing's been crashed, and aside from the heel rub on the cranks you'd be hard pressed to tell whether any of the parts are used or new.

The frameset retails for $600, the parts spec I'm including is what it is,... I'm asking $1200, and I'll pay shipping anywhere in the lower 48.  Prefer to run 9sp?  I can accommodate that... older 9sp DuraAce shifters (fully functional, but the left one was 'scratched' in a crit-crash many years ago) and a 11x34 9sp XT cassette w/ 9sp Ultegra chain, and you're in business.  9sp = $1000.

Check the Black Mountain Cycles site for their build kit options and you'll see that this a fantastic offer compared to their complete bike builds!  Pix available.

Forgot to mention, I have two other wheelsets to choose from, either a pair of DT340 hubs laced to DT R1.1 clincher rims or a set of Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels.  The DTs are the nicest of the three sets, but have had the most use.  The Salsa wheels are the burliest, probably the best all-around wheels.  The Ksyriums have very little use (they were on my GF's bike, ridden very little and never abused).  Take your pick.
