for my road clinchers and tubulars Ill generally run the same sized tires front and rear. Mtb is the same except for fully rigid where I put a bigger tire up front. Generally its a very minimal size difference if that.

That led me to wonder whether it is better to run the larger of 2 cx tubulars in front or rear. Opinions and experience please. I have 2 tufo elites (30 and 32 mm) which I will glue up in a few days. Im just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice. If its any help I weight about 135 lbs. I also tend to run my tires (cx mtb) on the higher side psi-wise (33-34), because unlike some, I cant afford to be replacing tubular tubes or whole tires throughout the season. Many thanks.

I have a set of wheels with the same tires, but 28 rear and 30 front.  No issues.  Also, your tire pressure is too high.  I am 10lbs heavier and still run 30 max, usually lower depending on conditions.

Thanks for the psi info. Ive never run cx tubulars so I dont know my  limits yet. I run lik 33 in my clinchers. Ill probably mess around at like 28-30 psi just to be sure. I cant afford to pinch flat tubulars.
