I have a Specialized Carbon Crux with a BB30 bottom bracket. I am using the adaptors that came with the frame to run a Dura Ace crankset. However this setup only allows me to run a 39t inner ring. Can I somehow space this crank 3-4mm to the driveside so I can use a 42 or 44 toothring?

Michael, any bigger ring will hit the chainstays? I have a similar issue not with chainrings but with the chainring bolts. I'm curious too but haven't spent any time investigating it. Are you trying to run a single ring? If so could you mount it to the otter setting?

Let me know if you figure it out. If you're attached to the crankset you may need to do something creative. You could also move to a 73mm wide crankset (mtb) if you're set on using a 42 inner and are up for changing cranksets.
