Wondering if anyone who has hard plastic tread on their cross shoes has tried a product like PlastiDip on their treads to avoid the dreaded "cartoon character on ice" if they have to dismount on pavement or other "slick" surfaces. I have a pair of Dom 5s I race in. They fit great but can be sketchy on anything hard and/or smooth. Thought I might try to "paint" some rubber on the tread to see if I can make them better in that regard. The high end shoes almost all have a bit of rubber on their treads. Lower end shoes, not so much. Thoughts?
