Hey All,

While checking out Crossresults I've noticed that folks are racing in categories different from what they appear to be.  3s in the 4 race, 4s in the 3 race, 3s &4s in the elite race.  What gives, can anyone with a USAC license race pretty much whatever non-UCI race they want?

In Seattle we have three CX race series and only one requires a UCI license. I have friends who race in different categories based on the race day schedule. Some people find it easier to race in the morning, so they race that category in the non-UCI series.

Of course, you might get heckled for sandbagging!

A lot of those are probably upgrades that just haven't been processed yet. Esp the 3 and 4 guys who may have won two and moved up recently.

3's can usually do non-UCI elite. Usually it's 1/2/3.

But no, you have to race what is actually on your license.
