Shields under cleats

Hello,

I made shields for my new pedals and cleats:

Here you can see pedal without shield on the left panel, with shield (1mm of PVC) on the right. It is easy to dismount with it, the same effect can be achieved by cutting off the shoes outsole, but pvc shield protect shoes from dirt. Without shield it is very, very hard to dismount even at lowest position of tight bolt.

So, a question to cyclocross and/or gravel riders: what do you think about this?
