Does anyone have any tips on setting up the new Force front derailleur to prevent chain rub in the small ring? The new force only has trim on the big ring (unlike my old rival which had the trim on the small ring). Currently, if I set the lower limit screw to prevent chain rub, it will not shift to the small ring unless there is no pressure on the cranks. I have to lightly spin the cranks to get a shift.
If I set the lower limit screw to get a good shift to the small ring, then the chain rubs the FD outer cage for all cassette gears but the 3 easiest (biggest in diameter).

Would moving the FD higher up the seat tube help? Currently there is about 1mm gap between the outer cage and the large chainring.

How 'bout angling the FD out or in? Currently, the FD is parallel with the chainring.

Thanks

I had this problem on my road bike, and what I'd found worked well is setting your limits like you'd normally do, setting cable tension to the exact point where there is no slack but no extra tension on the FD, and angling the rear end of the FD slightly inward (so back is closer to the frame than front). When I shift to the big ring, unless I'm in sprinting gears, I almost always have to immediately trim it down to prevent rub on the larger cogs, but I am able to run all gears in both chainrings without rubbing.
