It seems this does not get talked about enough. It obviously depends on your weight so lets qualify the discussion with different pressures for different weight people. How low do folks go on muddy conditions (front and back tire differences) and where do people go on dry conditions (front and back tires). Lets just assume tubular tires for this conversation. Also, what is the most reliable device to check tire pressure.
Looks forward to the comments. Thx

The tire pressure question rears its head...
Me: 5'10", 130 pounds soaking wet.
Tires: Challenge Grifo 32 Tubulars.
Dry and flat, I usually go around 28 in front, 30 rear.
Dry and bumpy, I'll go 24 front, 26-28 rear.
Wet, maybe 20 in front, 22 rear.
I could definitely get away with less pressure, but I always worry about bashing my rims.
Me: 5'10" 160
Tires: Challenge Fango34, Vittoria XM 32, Challenge filetread 32.
I always start with 32 rear 30 in the front as a baseline and adjust after a lap on the course.
I generally adjust not on dry/wet but instead on how bumpy or how low the course will allow me to get away with. I rarely go lower than 30 in the rear 28 in the front and rarely above 34 front and rear.
