Spring cleaning time and I am trying to de-clutter the ol’ workshop
Sun Vista/ formula campy tubular wheel - $45
Rear tubular wheel with Campagnolo compatible hub
Sun Vista Cruiser Rim 28 hole
Formula Campy splined rear hub
2.0g DT spokes laced 3x
Great chance to get a tubular wheel cheap! Cross season isn't that far away, and this would make a great training, pit or even first race wheel.
It is used, but you can hardly tell. The person I bought them from (I primarily wanted the tires mounted on the set) said they only had about 50 miles on them. They must not have had to brake much because there are just a few faint scuffs on the brake surface.
Mavic Mach 2/ 105sc hub/ front tubular wheel- $25
Mavic Mach2 rim, laced to a 105sc front hub. 32 straight gauge spokes (I can't tell if they are 14 or 15s), laced 3 cross. I've had it for about 2 years now and only used it about 4 times during that time.
The wheel works fine, spins true, it just shows the usual wear on the brake surface. It isn't really seeing use so it should find a good home. Would work great as a first tubie wheel, training wheel or pit wheel.
Vittoria Mastercross Tubular Tire- $10
I bought the tire used a few years ago and never got around to getting it mounted. The tread and sidewalls are in good condition, but the base tape is torn in one spot. Might still mount up OK and would work fine on a pit/training wheel or maybe for a little dirt road riding/ racing. A trip to Tire Alert for new base tape would have it good as new.I don’t have an exact measurement on it, but I think it is somewhere in the 28mm range so it might just fit under some regular road calipers.
Kenda K161 27 X 1 3/8 tires- set (2 tires) for $15
Purchased on a whim from a shop’s clearance rack. I’ve got enough bikes, and none of them use 27” tires. Great set for replacement on an old 10speed, or convert that old 27” road bike for a little cross racing this fall.
