I am thinking about switching over to tubeless this fall but I haven't been able to determine if my tires are amenable to a tubeless conversion. I know it it better to do it with tubeless specific tires/rims but money is a little prohibitive. I have a brand new pair of continental cyclocross race tires with mavix kysrium equipes wheels. I was thinking about getting a stans rim strip and going for it. Are these tires amenable to tubeless conversion? any tips?

I think this should help you quite a bit in terms of tire choice:

see the other parts in the series for more info on wheels, conversion. the equipe may be easier to convert than the rim on the elite, sl. but that tire's bead is too loose for a good conversion. good luck!
