And to add to what Bob says, I ran Kenda Slant 6 SCT cross tires on the 400's last year as low as 20psi with no burping with only yellow tape.

The rim has not changed but tires have. When alpha first came out tubeless cx tires were just starting. Now I think 7 companies offer a tubeless model. General rule of thumb with Alpha is standard tire use alpha rim strip. Tubeless tire most likely will just work with tape a and a valve.

Funny Bob, understood just the opposite for the Alphas, that the rimstrip is an imperative for low pressure applications, hence coming free with the rim purchase. Has the design been changed/updated?

Have had reports from customers this combination will work. Only use the yellow tape, valve and sealant. Alpha rim strip is not usually needed for tubeless cx tires. Recommended max pressure is 50 psi to center this tire.
