Hey all,

I'm picking up a pair of aluminum tubular wheels soon and need a few good recommendations. I am currently running my Van Dessel Hole Shot with Hutchinson Bulldogs which I've setup as tubeless. I have a second clincher set that I plan on using with Hutchinson Piranhas, also tubeless. I don't plan on buying any other tubular wheels, but have been reading up about keeping a diverse selection of tires for race day. Specifically, I've been looking at Matt Pacocha's articles on VeloNews:

What tire would you recommend given that I plan on running the Hutchinson Bulldog and Piranhas (both 34c) this season? I'm looking for something that the other two tires don't offer, or for the best 3rd tire to round out my tire range.

Stuff to consider:
Rider: 160lb, 5'8"
Racing: Mid-Atlantic MABRA territory (http://www.mabra.org/) which gets all types of stuff (dry, grassy, muddy, loose, sandy, and gravelly)
Other: Looking for the best bang for the buck and easy maintenance.

Thanks for all the help!

I have the bulldogs, they are awesome for mud a wet grass, but are a little slow on pavement and very dry sections.

I've found that the piranhas are only good in very dry conditions personally, so it looks like you need something in between there.

An all around tire maybe? Challenge Grifo is the first to come to mind. It is an affordable tubular that rides really nice!
