Hi, i'm looking to get a pair of tubie wheels. I borrowed a pair this weekend and loved them. I'm looking at velocity escape rims, and challenge grifo's. I need suggestions on hubs.

thanks

White Industries and Chris King are very good but more $$$.

Velocity are the best for the money I have seen, ultegra are a little more and heavier.

The American Classic hubs are pretty sweet. I've built them up with both the Micro road hubs and the 105 MTB hubs to the Velocities.

Every place is super low on inventory right now. I have a set of velocity rims with 105 AC MTB hubs laced to them, but I can't sell them for another two weeks because of rentals.
I love loose-ball hubs just because I'm old skool and like the idea of repacking them with grease easily.

also, you could always rent another type of wheel from gabe at echappe to see if you'd prefer something else, like a blinged-out carbon model, or tubeless. gabe you offering tubeless on the hed rim?
