With the 2011 'cross season in the UK not even underway yet, my thoughts are already turning to my winter build up to the 2012 season! lol!

Put simply; Base mileage in the new year. Road or CX specific? What do YOU recommend?

A lot of the European pros will do their mileage on the road, but this may simply be that they're a part of Pro Tour teams and attending team training camps etc.

My gut instinct is to err on the side of specificity and spank the CX bike all winter; but I'm by no means a cyclocross expert so would appreciate some other views.

Cheers

Being fairly new to cross myself I don't know the ideal answer to this. I'd love to find out the thoughts of seasoned pro's!
I'm fairly new to the sport too. Would love some advice on this topic.
