hi, going tubeless for gravel grinder/cross races. Have a pair of Stan's Iron Cross on the way. Would like a 35 tire but there aren't a lot of options. WTB now has the Cross Boss, and they look pretty nice, but i feel like a while back i heard it was super brutal trying to mount them on Stan's Iron Cross hoops.

Can anyone verify this? Would love to hear who's run this combo. Thanks!

I actually raced in the same conditions this weekend (minus the apple orchard :)). I ended up switching to some Kenda Kommandos x because I didnt think the Cross Boss would do well on the wet grass.

How did you like them on wet gass/hardpack?

They packed up a little with the mud, but I still got traction.  I would not use them in thick mud.  The wet grass proved no problem, but I do consider myself to be a decent bike handler.  I only had one slide out the whole time, both tires at the same time on the only loose loam section of the course. I was actually getting frustrated how much people were braking into the corners.
