Not seeing much activity on here - are folks hanging out somewhere else?

Anyone got any pointers on training or non-street rides in NYC?

I've been messing around in Inwood, Highbridge (seemed a bit much to me for cx bike), and Wolf's Pond.  I hope to head out to Cunningham Park soon.

Also, I'm not familiar w/ the area outside of the city, was looking at the race schedule - what's the closest or best race to check out (as a viewer)?

It is CX hibernation season right now.  And as you can see from the threads, not alot of activity around here to begin with.

Any park you can find with grass and/or dirt should do.  Maybe build yourself some portable PVC barriers and go have fun.

NJ has an annual series that is usually within an hour or so from Manhattan by car.  Staten Island CX is at Wolf's Pond every year, that is probably the closest event and a pretty big one for the area.  The race sachedule won't be finalized until September/October usually with some stragglers after that.

Thanks for the info, finding video of the Staten Island race alone was worth joining and posting.
