Ok so this week i began seriously riding the trainer again and it started out rough but by tuesday i was having a better time and riding longer. So i thought i'd hold a non scientific poll and see how others feel about riding the turbo trainer.

Ok everyone,  the season is underway for most everybody.  Anyone race yet?  If so how was it?

LOL.  Even at my good race weight (Which I'm not at the moment!) I'm still 'Athena'.

So that's 75kg for women, 91kg for men for those metrics out there!

"Cyclocross gladiators weighing 200 pounds (1.428 Contadors) or more, and Athenas, female gladiators weighing 160 pounds (1.142 Contadors), or more, are eligible to enter the ring of battle."...As outlined at the first ever Clydesdale Cyclocross Champion of the Universe in Bend OR, 2009.

Clydesdale is defined as being over 205 or 210 pounds.  don't know what a weight would be for Athenas.  I'm sure there is more that could be added but this is the basic rule.

cheers

Just curious coming from a country that doesn't 'do' Clydesdales/Athenas but a country which has apparently just for fatter than the US (yes I'm talking Australia).  What is the official 'definition of c'dale/athena??

As far as I know there are no C'dales only series.  Some of the local MTN. Bike racing series add it to the card as a race catagory.  However there is not a clydesdale cat. on the local cross series...PDX is only three hours though!

Anyone know of master list for Clydesdale races-road/cyclocross/mountain bike? I tried bikereg. & USA Cycling with mixed results. Seems all the Clydesdales orgs that started 80's-90's are defunct. Anyone have any luck?

The yearly Seattle bike swap was yesterday.  I got some white hudz new in package for $5 going on my new road bike (which I should have by March), some FREE brand spankin' new WTB tires for my mt. bike, a HUGE bell for my sisters bike, oh yeah  and a new in box $250 Bontrager carbon cx fork for $50!  What a good day.  My cx bike is now complete. Bike swaps are the best place to find what you want/need at a great discount.  Tons of 'cross stuff.
