2008 De Stad Cyclocross Van Kansas Series presented by Paceline Products
The Kansas City cyclocross season opens this weekend with the Diamond Blackfan Cyclocross Challenge presented by Perceptive Software . "Our first event is a great opportunity to not only kick off the cyclocross season in style, but to also raise money and awareness for a much needed cause - The Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation," says series director Chris Locke
Our first event will also be a first for the City of Lenexa and will highlight what Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park has to offer. Co-race director Tige Lamb has designed a 1.8 mile course that offers, pavement, sand, steep run-ups, flowing corners and more fun than any one person can handle. Festivities begin at 9 a.m with registration opening and the coffee brewing. New for the 2008 season is the addition of the Category 4 (Beginner) Masters 35+/45+ classes. If you have ever thought about trying your hand at this crazy, exciting, friendly sport, this is a great class for it. Check out one of the other 13 classes offered at
