We've got another good round of cyclocross coming up in the metro. Three races, all with some fresh course design and BEER. The New Year's Eve race at an all new venue, Epic Holiday Cyclocross on January 3rd, and the finale of Series60CX: Grote Prijs Shawnee on January 10th.

Details are up at localcycling.com and the KCA page.

To keep you tuned up, there are show and go 'mock' races at Herman Laird on Wednesday. This Saturday there's a preview party for the riders heading to Belgium for Masters Worlds. Prior to the party there's a 3PM cyclocross play ride. Most likely at a super secret venue. Meet at Laird.

Still rumblings about February racing. That gives us the full UCI length schedule in KC if it happens. Do we need year round 'cross? Heck no. Gotta have that road or mountain 'offseason' to train for CX. It will make you better.

Things are coming together for the "Holiday Week" of racing in KC. Bryan Kidney and Mike Berning have designed a cool course for the new venue on New Year's Eve. Beer is lined up. Good prizes for lots of categories at all 3 remaining races. PLUS series prizes go deep. We'll have an update at www.series60cx.com of points this week.

The Epic Holiday 'Cross course is going to have lots of brick/cobbles and some fresh features: berms and sand. Oh, also beer and pizza.

Grote Prijs rounds out the series with heated indoor town hall, fast pavement, and twisty fun.
