Hey everyone,

It's looking pretty likely that I'll be moving to the Netherlands this summer for the next 3-5 years, but I realized that I have no idea whether or not there is any SS 'cross scene over there. Anyone have any experience, knowledge, or resources about this?

Thanks!

no idea.  But if there's not, you get to be a pioneer.  What an opportunity!   Good luck
Where are you going to be be in Holland?  I live in Dusseldorf across the border in Germany and can speak with some Dutch friends to get information for you.  Almost all of Holland is super single speed friendly ie flat or relatively flat and the country is pretty #1 the most friendly in the world for bikes with separate bikes roads everywhere.
I'll probably be living near Nijmegen (about 10k from the German border). I'm really looking forward to training and racing in Holland!
Nijmegen is the oldest town in Holland an old Roman settlement, quite pretty and people are friendly, there is a lot of forest bordering the German border that should be good.  I go to ride my road bike near the border and along the Rhein super pretty and quiet.  People are nice and I can check in the next couple of weeks about cross in the area for you.
Sounds awesome! Yeah my wife was offered a research position there and I'm hoping to do my PhD at Tilburg and commute by train. But it would be great to already have a couple of connections for cycling out there though!
