A "Roubaix" ride

Posted on April 14, 2009 at 8:35am 1 Comment

Well… the Easter weekend sure turned out better than expected! Some decent biking (including a “Roubaix” like ride in hell on Sunday afternoon), some good beer, good eating, good family time, and I enjoyed Slumdog Millionaire a lot on Friday night.

But the big bonus of the weekend happened yesterday. A few months ago, my LBS hooked me up with a decent beginner road bike for my wife. A Felt Z90 that we pimped up a bit with a mix of 105/Ultegra components. So after training on the… Continue

I understand the feeling. I'm a newbie who decided to commit to 'cross by having a bike built. A bout with shoulder tendinitis postponed the build until May. I have such short legs that I'm getting a custom frame. Can't wait to saddle up.

I'm impressed by the weight loss. I've lost about 40 pounds in 1 1/2 years. hope to be down about 60 pounds by the upcoming season. Looking forward to Bay Area Super Prestige series (Men's 55+) near SF, CA.

Good luck, Bryan.
