Why sign up for cx mags site

I have recently re-caught the biking bug after many years 'off the saddle'. I grew up riding BMX and 'graduated' to road riding in college. After getting married & three kids later I finally stopped the excuses of not riding.

Four years ago I purchased a hard-tail mtb and started back into biking. Last year I purchased another bike, a single-speed road bike. I shortly found out that owning a single speed road bike (only) in Portland, OR is kind of like rolling around naked on a floor of thumb tacks every few days. I got a full road bike in Feb 2009 to replace my single speed. I have been riding 2-3 times a week including a 14 mile round trip to work.

This spring I wanted to upgrade my hard-tail mtb and go to a full-suspension. I got a little crazy and starting building bikes.

Now, the next chapter starts-I was invited to cyclocross with a few friends. Cyclocross and Portland, OR is kind of like peanut butter and jelly-they just go together. So, the Portland native that I am, I am starting into ramp up for cyclocross. I am new to this but looking forward to learning a lot.
