Hometown:

About Me:
I didn't know CX -- then I went and watched Louisville and was HOOKED! I like CX because it flows and is technical. I really enjoy the culture of all biking -- and CX has this in spades. I like handups, horns, beer, and course design. CX reminds me of my fave sport: XC! The flow and handling is like skiing on a perfect day. It's such a great savior for the "tween" time of year. I love autumn, but the dark slush-season can be hard-- but no longer! CX saves the day! Oh, I run a website dedicated to all types of DIY indie outdoor action, http://OutYourBackdoor.com -- 2000+ stories! Bikes, boats, skis!
Current Bike Collection:
Whew... I'll stick with CX: *a Scott CX Comp and sometimes a 1976 dumpstered Nishiki Comp. I only ride TUBIES! They really make the difference for CX fun, flow and smoothness. The garage is full of every other kind of bike also, for me and the rest of the family.
Favorite Race:
Detroit Invitational! Mad Anthony! Actually, all of our MI races.
Dream Bike:
Light'n'snappy yet versatile and comfy enough for the road and for racks'n'fenders.
Favorite thing about cyclocross:
The flow. The culture.
How long have you been racing cyclocross?
Two years. Well, 30 years, in a way.
Racing category:
weekend warrior
