Well I'm starting with what is the final countdown to my first real goal of the year... Paris Roubaix, the amateur 'sportive'... with over 2000miles under my belt in preparartion my taper has been more of an abrupt stop in the passed 10 days due to my FIL becoming ill...

Not really a 'cross race but I guess as close as it gets in the off season.

Saturday we travel to Compiegne for a 'crack of stoopid' start on Sunday! Am I looking forward to it??? Hell yeah! The weather is crap here at the mo but the reports for Northern France are looking up for Sunday. Part of me wants the full Roubaix experience, part of me is scared of the cobbles reputation in the wet. I've had enough 'Roubaix' weather in training... snow, rain, wind, cold bla bla bla where the hell is SUMMER!

Just gotta get a few supplies in and I'm ready...

Due to the rain we've had, even if Sunday is fair, I think the course is gonna be wet and muddy in places. So I am gonna get dirty! Still wondering weather the cross bike (or at least the eggbeaters and the MTB shoes) may be in order???
