Cross Fever Race #3: El Dorado Park CX is coming to Long Beach, Sunday January 18th! Velo Allegro will host its first ever CX race at El Dorado Park. Fun for the entire family including FREE kids racing and beginner clincs – taking place in the park area of the famed Eldo Crit, the course will sweep through the beautiful lakeside park. Bring your picnic blanket or fishing gear... oh and the bike too! Cash Prizes to Men 1/2/3, Women 1/2/3, and Masters 35+ Men AND Women and Single Speed!!!

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Fast flowing course consisting of 50% grass, 30% paved, 20% dirt/sand. Start/Finish on paved road just past fishing lake parking lot. Bike pit is located where the course parallels itself just before turning left on to the finish straight. Barriers will either be in the s-turns on the uphill or along the parking lot on the lake side. There is also a natural log dismount where the course runs along the lake and a big sweeping 180 degee turn in the sand pit. Each lap is approximately 2.5km in length. Races are timed circuits on the course based on category.

The work horse of the cross lineup, the O'Brien is hand built with 7000 series high tensile strength aluminum front triangle with the same carbon rear triangle as the Miniluv. Sharing identical geometry as the Miniluv, you will have a hard time deciding which bike to put in the pit. All cross frames have a 2 year warranty and a $200 crash replacement credit!

SoCalCross supports juniors and new riders with a fleet of demo CX bikes from Specialized and Jamis. SoCal/Nevada Cycling (SCNCA) supports Junior sized bikes from Redline.
