A "Roubaix" ride

Well… the Easter weekend sure turned out better than expected! Some decent biking (including a “Roubaix” like ride in hell on Sunday afternoon), some good beer, good eating, good family time, and I enjoyed Slumdog Millionaire a lot on Friday night. But the big bonus of the weekend happened yesterday. A few months ago, my LBS hooked me up with a decent beginner road bike for my wife. A Felt Z90 that we pimped up a bit with a mix of 105/Ultegra components. So after training on the Computrainer…See More

The denial is over. Me and cross were more than likely a match made in heaven, but I guess I was in denial. Since my “lifestyle change” in 2006 (the losing 100 lbs and getting back in shape thing) I flirted with running and with triathlons and duathlons. And I had a blast. But there was always “something” missing.Different circumstances and events have leaded me to cross in the past months, and it is finally all coming together! I currently have my favourite bike mech starting to put together…See More

I'm impressed by the weight loss. I've lost about 40 pounds in 1 1/2 years. hope to be down about 60 pounds by the upcoming season. Looking forward to Bay Area Super Prestige series (Men's 55+) near SF, CA.

Good luck, Bryan.
