About Me:
I love biking. Don't get enough time to do it though. Did my first CX race this year on a whim in the mtn bike category on a full suspension gary fisher 29er. And fell in love, but lugging around a 34lb bike wasn't the best. Now I am trying to figure out my next step.

I'll throw in the integrated headset, cool seatpost collar/cable stop, stem (brand new), and seatpost(brand new) also. They came with the bike but I never used them.

That's tough because budget is budget.  I always think about longevity, the old adage you get what you pay for rings true many times.  When I got my cross bike every single part was second, and in some cases, third hand parts!  I had full (busted) 105 9 speed and used no name canti’s that my old boss gave me.  Literally the only thing that was brand new was the frameset and the headset, everything else was used and was either donated or taken off of my road bike and I would switch back and forth.  I still ride the same frame but in the last four years I have slowly but surely upgraded the parts spec via killer deals on craigslist and ebay.  Frame quality is what to look for, it’s better to start out with a good frame and passable parts than  an ok frame with great parts in my opinion. I hope this helps in some way.
