2011 Surf City Cyclo-X Race 1 - Master 45+ A Men

Made a quick dash down to Aptos to slog through the first race of the Surf City Cyclo-X Series. Had to pop in, beat myself up, and dash out to make it back in time for a friend's wedding. Mission accomplished!

Here's a view of the first lap on the new course. The Surf City crew turned Halloween monsters and created a evil and tough course. But I have to admit, it was spooky fun!

Oh, added some heads-up display to show heart rate, speed, direction, altitude, and location on the course map. Still experimenting with what's interesting and look and feel.

Thank you.  Exactly what I was looking for.

I currently film with GoPro Hero cameras.  Just picked up the new Hero2 and have begun using that as my primary camera.  Definitely better quality from this new version.

I import the footage and edit with Premiere Pro on a Mac.  The gauges are created using an app from DashWare (windows only).  I load the video footage along with my Garmin 500 TCX data file into the app and then generate the gauges.

Hans - 45+, 183 hb/min AND you don't even sound completely out of breath.  Nice Job. Just saw your video, and I am very interested in your set-up camera/software.  Your video is extremely smooth without bouncing around, and I have never seen the ability to integrate lap position/speed/HR into the frame. Can you tell me what you are using, etc.  Thanks  Bob   (same age group - but when my HR gets that high I don't think I could get a word out.
