I found the fastest way to get through the sand was to sprint off of the concrete and coast up to the first or second pole, then start the run. Sarah (Womens A) and Rich Maile (Mens A) were doing that and it was fast and efficient.

It's amazing to me how many people tried to ride the sand when the most effecient was to run from the start
