@deckard - Congrats on a stong finish in challenging conditions.
Try the Ramble Around Prattsburgh http://ramblearoundprattsburgh.blogspot.com/ on May 15 in the Finger Lakes area. Also, the Tour of Pelham 35K race in St. Catherines has a similar format (it is over, was held April 3).
I probably won't be able to do the Ramble - but if I do will use gears if they don't have a SS division.
I am looking for more of this kind of racing in our area - so if anybody out there knows of enduro CX racing in Western NY, Southern Ontario or North/Central Penna please post!!!
im new. this was my first CX race and my first time in mud. took me 3hrs 19sec on 42/16.
it was an absolute blast. hoping to better my time next year.
@joe b - can you suggest another good point to point in the area i should be entering?
@ CX Mag - Yes SS for 60K, fortunately this course is mostly flat and includes several road stretches. I ran a 42x17, which was too soft (the six guys who finished ahead of me were all running 16 cogs).
@Jeremy - these enduro-style races are very old school - we have a couple in Ontario but there should be more!
That's me at 1:00 minute mark... just before the camera pans to the horses, which were much more interesting.
This is a great race... and one of the few in our area to offer at single speed division.
