I just moved to Seattle from Boston. I lived in Oregon and went to college there but never raced cx. I have a couple of questions. First I am going to need a new set of tubular tires. I only have one set of tubulars so it will have to work for all the races. I will be racing in Seattle and Portland and the surounding areas. For those of you in the northwest, if you could only have one tubular tire what would you use.

 

Also, people in Washington, where is all the xc mountain bike racing at, I can't find info on races anywhere.

Most talked about tires on the course...

  1. Dugast Rhino
  2. Challenge Limus
  3. Clemente PDX

All have similar tread, but different qualities. I listed them from most to least supple. But they are the go-to tires for anything NW. 

David - Joey's tire selection is right in line with what I'd tell you. On the MTB front look into these series for some solid racing:
