WHAT'S UP WITH WORLD'S?????

I'm seeing ZERO BUZZ. What's up? Where are the articles and course previews in CX Mag? I see one piece here about the US Team selection. Ummm... WHEN is the race? Like, what TIME? And what are the ways we can WATCH it????? I can't find anything on Google either! I'm guessing Cyclingfans will have something, but WHAT TIME??? I don't see it there, either. Restoring park after race?

Maybe this would be a good story idea. What are the techniques, expectations, timeframes for park recovery after a race or after a season of practice. ? I googled this and see some discussion but don't recall seeing it in the CX mag yet. Trailwork and maintenance is a huge part of mt-biking. Must also be for CX... Time to get it front'n'center? Thanks, JPSee More

Sanctioned article in new CX issue #22...

Just got the new issue. Love it! (And I liked the last Ladies issue, too. ...And all the others! :) )I'm somewhat new to CX but am interested in this sanctioned vs nonsanctioned debate, but not for the reasons mentioned in the article. So I'll mention them here! :)I'm from Michigan where we have Kisscross, an unsanctioned series. This may or may not be relevant. From what I can tell, a sanctioned event means you need a course that follows certain rules. These rules seem oriented to creating…See More

Profile Information

Hometown:
Williamston, MI
About Me:
I didn't know CX -- then I went and watched Louisville and was HOOKED! I like CX because it flows and is technical. I really enjoy the culture of all biking -- and CX has this in spades. I like handups, horns, beer, and course design. CX reminds me of my fave sport: XC! The flow and handling is like skiing on a perfect day. It's such a great savior for the "tween" time of year. I love autumn, but the dark slush-season can be hard-- but no longer! CX saves the day! Oh, I run a website dedicated to all types of DIY indie outdoor action, http://OutYourBackdoor.com -- 2000+ stories! Bikes, boats, skis!
Current Bike Collection:
Whew... I'll stick with CX: *a Scott CX Comp and sometimes a 1976 dumpstered Nishiki Comp. I only ride TUBIES! They really make the difference for CX fun, flow and smoothness. The garage is full of every other kind of bike also, for me and the rest of the family.
Favorite Race:
Detroit Invitational! Mad Anthony! Actually, all of our MI races.
Dream Bike:
Light'n'snappy yet versatile and comfy enough for the road and for racks'n'fenders.
Favorite thing about cyclocross:
The flow. The culture.
How long have you been racing cyclocross?
Two years. Well, 30 years, in a way.
Racing category:
weekend warrior
