Well it has been 1 month since my open heart surgery, and I have been released by my cardiologist to go ahead and start my rehab on monday, this consists of me going to the hospital and wearing a heart monitor and working out for about 45min to an hour under the watchful eye of the doctor there, making sure that there is nothing unusual happening or that I do not have an episode! I have also set up my bike on the trainer and plan to ride it for about a half an hour getting my heart rate up to around 112-115 and just taking it easy I still get pretty tired easy after just a little effort, its wierd the second sugery has been a lot harder on me and hurts worse, I thought that it would have been much easier, I don`t know maybe because it was only six months out? Any hoot I`m finally getting some exercise after almost 4 months off and that is great I hope to be able to race my new Mt. bike in June, and start getting in some big miles and intervals for the upcoming cross season!

Go easy. I know people who had heart surgery (angioplasty) that pushed too hard and ended up back in th ehospital. It is good to do under supervision.

Wow, that must be rough. I've got a heart issue that may require some intervention in the future, but at this point doesn't limit me. Good Luck with the comeback.
