"Yes, it can and has been done. I'm the sort who would rather race on a new tire though. Anyone who says tubeless doesn't work for cyclocross doesn't know enough about tubeless, period."

c-note replied to garth's discussion Which tubeless rim? Alpha 340 or 355 29er?
"Don't know how much you weigh, but the alpha 340 should hold up well with a good 32 spoke build. Advantage also is the width will allow a neutral wheel. The 355 29er is 5 mm wider and I like the wider profile that give the tire.  Wider may…"

Clifford

Although I raced tubulars on the road for years, this would be my first set of cross tubulars. I weigh about 205 and tend to be hard on my wheels. I've been riding/racing cross on Mavic Askiums & amvery pleased with them, but looking to make the step up to tubulars

Thanks for any insight.
