I have a pair of Bontrager Race Light TLR wheels that I would like to set up for muddy conditions. Does anyone have any feedback on any tubeless tires that work great in the mud?
Thanks

hey there, we don't have experience yet on the TLR wheels, but, for "tubeless ready" cyclocross tires, your options are quite limited if you're not converting a tire. If you can get a Vittoria Cross XL TNT, that'd probably be our top choice. I'd suggest either the Kenda Kwicker SCT or the Specialized Captain 2Bliss but neither are perfect mud tires but capable. The old carbon bead Hutchinson Bulldog could suffice as well.
the nice thing is often when it's really sloppy, the courses get soft, and if you're lucky to not have any hard rocks hidden in the mud, sometimes you can even get away with innertubes at low pressure.
good luck!
I have set up a Duro HUP tubeless. But A) IT wasn't realy a mud tire, I just took wire cutters and nipped out all of the diamond middle treads, and B) Duro doesn't make them anymore. At least not through their own distribution. They're MoeJoe and EllieMae lines are now being sold through Origin8.
I also have, in the past, set up Panaracer Crossblaster tubeless. I like these tires a lot but take some effort to get seated sometimes. However, not a tubeless-specific design.
hutchinson said their new tubeless tires will be available this week. i think it's only a toro which looks to be more of an aggro all-arounder similar to captn control.
specialized will soon have their full lineup of tubless treds: trigger, tracer and terra. not sure when they'll be available though.
